On March 23, the 15th China International Energy Storage Conference (CIES2025), hosted by the China Chemical & Physical Power Industry Association, grandly opened in Hangzhou. WG ENERGY was invited to participate and, thanks to its outstanding technological innovations and industry influence, won the prestigious “2025 Most Influential Enterprise in China's Energy Storage Industry” award.
On March 24, Mr. Chen Zhiyuan, Director of WG ENERGY’s Solutions Department, delivered a keynote speech titled "Deep Power Electronics Integration: Driving Advanced Evolution of Energy Storage Systems" at a dedicated session. He highlighted that, as new energy and energy storage solutions integrate into the market, high value and low cost per kilowatt-hour have become essential industry needs. The deep integration of power electronics is now driving the energy storage sector into a new phase, with third-generation energy storage systems featuring pack-level management, flexible grouping, reconfigurable control, and proactive safety emerging as the key trend.
Adhering to the philosophy of "Ensuring the Safe and Optimal Use of Every Kilowatt-Hour", WEGREEN ENERGY has pioneered the E³Stack matrix energy storage system. This system incorporates a self-developed battery pack controller to enable module-level active management of electricity, heat, and safety. Additionally, it integrates a string-type grid-forming PCS with 3×10S high overload capacity and an efficient, high-density solid-state transformer (SST) based on silicon carbide (SiC) technology, ensuring a seamless, intelligent, flexible, and efficient connection between battery cells and the grid.
In terms of safety, E³Stack features a comprehensive multi-layer security design, leveraging Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) for anomaly detection, internal temperature estimation, thermal runaway warnings, and active fault bypass, building multi-layer safety barriers from battery cells to the entire system. Regarding efficiency, the system offers multi-pack management, online SOC adjustments, and active electrical and thermal balancing, ensuring maximum charge capacity, optimized discharge efficiency, and minimal degradation, thereby enhancing customer value.
Taking the Chongqing Shuitu Data Center 10kV Direct-Connected Energy Storage Station as an example, WG ENERGY has pioneered the industry’s first SST-integrated power router, E⁴Router, replacing traditional transformers and PCS. This innovation enables high-reliability, high-efficiency direct connection to a 10kV power distribution network. The system consists of one SiC-based solid-state transformer (SST) and seven direct-current energy storage cabinets with module-level refined management, achieving 99% charge/discharge depth and an overall system efficiency (including self-consumption) of 90%. ⁴
To address challenges such as long EV charging times, limited single-pile power, and insufficient grid access capacity, WG ENERGY has introduced the SST-integrated ultra-fast charging matrix, E⁴Matrix-SC. By replacing traditional equipment with solid-state transformers (SST), the solution fully digitizes the power chain, providing users with a "Four Ultimate" charging experience: Ultimate Coverage, Ultimate Simplicity, Ultimate Speed, and Ultimate Efficiency.
Looking ahead, WG ENERGY will remain committed to its mission of "Ensuring the Safe and Optimal Use of Every Kilowatt-Hour". By continuously driving innovation in power electronics technology, the company aims to enhance the intelligence of energy storage and power systems, offering superior and highly efficient multi-scenario energy storage applications to global users, ultimately contributing to the worldwide transition to clean energy.
