WG Energy Unveils Global Helios Series SST at Inter Solar Europe Munich: Lighting the Path of Solar Energy to Reshape the New Global Order of Next-Gen Power Electronics

From June 23 to 25, Inter Solar Europe 2026 (The smarter E Europe), one of the world’s most influential new energy exhibitions, grandly opened at Messe München, Germany. The event brought together over 3,000 exhibitors and more than 110,000 professional visitors worldwide, serving as a weather vane for the global new energy industry.

 

 

At Booth C1.170, WG Energy showcased a full suite of solutions centered on Solid State Transformer (SST) and officially launched its overseas brand Helios Series SST for global clients. The debut demonstrated the company’s technological strengths and industrialized achievements in advanced power electronic equipment, marking WG Energy’s full-scale entry into Europe’s photovoltaic, energy storage, EV charging and AIDC markets with core SST technology.

Global Launch of Helios Series SST Brand
Full Coverage of Globally Accepted Voltage Classes 

Helios derives from Greek, meaning “God of the Sun”. At the exhibition, WG Energy globally launched the Helios Series SST brand, alongside a full portfolio of SSTs covering three major voltage classes: 10kV (13.8kV), 24kV (22kV) and 35kV (34.5kV). The product lineup precisely aligns with grid connection standards across Europe, North America and other regions worldwide.


Three Core Product Lines of Helios Series SST

New Energy Grid-Tied SST (10/13.8kV, 24/22kV, 35/34.5kV) 

 

Designed for photovoltaic and energy storage power stations, this product replaces traditional line-frequency transformers, PCS and inverters to enable high-efficiency grid interconnection and flexible control of renewable energy. It supports high-penetration renewable energy integration and fully complies with European grid connection codes for new energy assets.

 

AIDC SST (10/13.8kV, 24/22kV, 35/34.5kV)

 

Tailored for AI Infrastructure Data Centers (AIDC) and high-density data centers, the SST realizes direct medium-voltage to 800V DC conversion, delivering a compact, high-efficiency and reliable power foundation for AI computing clusters. It targets Europe’s data center power supply market.

 

Charging SST (10kV/13.8kV, 24kV/22kV) 


Built for ultra-fast EV charging, heavy-duty truck and marine high-power energy replenishment scenarios, the product converts medium voltage directly to 750V/800V DC without additional voltage matching equipment. It drastically simplifies charging infrastructure architectures and accelerates Europe’s electric mobility transition.

 

All multi-scenario Helios SST products are built on WG Energy’s 3rd-generation SST technology platform, boasting a system efficiency exceeding 98.5%, flexible AC/DC multi-port conversion and millisecond-level intelligent dispatching. This launch confirms WG Energy’s capacity to deliver end-to-end SST solutions covering AIDC, photovoltaic power stations, C&I energy storage, utility energy storage and MCS charging for global customers.

Full-Spectrum Energy Solutions Built Around Helios Series SST

 

At the Munich exhibition, WG Energy presented system-level solutions for five core application scenarios powered by Helios Series SST: AIDC, photovoltaics, C&I energy storage, utility energy storage and MCS charging.

 

AIDC SST Power Supply Solution
Developed for AI data center and high-density data centers, the SST converts medium voltage (10/13.8kV, 24/22kV, 35/34.5kV) directly to 800V DC with an end-to-end efficiency above 98.5%. It cuts footprint by over 65% compared with conventional UPS systems, perfectly matching NVIDIA’s 800V DC architecture and power demands of megawatt-scale server racks.

 

PV Grid-Tied Solution
For utility-scale and distributed photovoltaic installations, the Helios grid-tied SST enables direct DC boost of PV power to medium-voltage grids, eliminating the two-stage structure of traditional inverter + transformer. The design lifts system efficiency by 1-2 percentage points and facilitates high-share renewable energy integration.

 

C&I Energy Storage Solution
Suitable for industrial parks and commercial complexes, the Helios SST allows energy storage systems to connect directly to medium-voltage grids, boosting round-trip efficiency by more than 3%. It supports peak-valley arbitrage, demand management and demand response services, substantially lowering corporate electricity expenditure.

 

Utility Energy Storage Solution
Targeted at grid-side facilities and large-scale new energy bases, the direct medium-voltage grid connection architecture of Helios SST removes the conventional two-stage setup of line-frequency transformer + PCS. With millisecond-level response speed, it fits frequency regulation, black start, backup power and other multi-functional grid service scenarios.

 

MCS Charging Solution
Geared toward electric heavy-duty trucks, electric vessels and mining trucks requiring high-power refueling, the charging-type Helios SST delivers direct medium-voltage to 750V DC conversion. Charging efficiency exceeds 95%, and the footprint is reduced by 40% versus traditional setups. Full deployment and commissioning can be completed in as fast as two days.


DC Microgrid Solution
For industrial parks, zero-carbon communities, commercial complexes, islands and remote areas, a full DC microgrid system is constructed around Helios SST. Acting as the “energy router” of DC microgrids, the SST integrates photovoltaic generation, energy storage, DC loads and EV charging onto a unified DC bus to realize efficient coordination of generation, grid, load and storage assets.

Strategic Signings Accelerate China-Europe Industrial Cooperation
Helios SST Brand Gains Strong European Market Recognition

 


During the exhibition, WG Energy hosted multiple strategic signing ceremonies at Booth C1.170, establishing deep partnerships with local European energy investors, system integrators and channel distributors. Cooperation scopes cover C&I energy storage project development, European market promotion of MCS charging, localized adaptation of Helios SST direct-grid energy storage solutions, and AIDC power supply projects across Europe. The first batch of collaborative projects in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy and other European countries officially kicked off following the signings.

 

This round of partnership agreements marks high market recognition of the Helios Series SST brand in Europe. WG Energy has upgraded its overseas expansion strategy from pure technology export to integrated brand, solution and ecosystem export.

 

WG Energy plans to complete IEC certification for all voltage classes of Helios Series SST by Q4 2026, alongside full delivery of multiple overseas projects. Upon certification completion, WG Energy will fully expand its footprint from the domestic market to Europe and global territories, positioning Helios Series SST as one of the most competitive product portfolios in the global advanced power electronics equipment sector.

Marches into Global Overseas Markets

 

The Munich exhibition hosted the first systematic global launch of Helios Series SST targeting Europe and international markets. Beyond unveiling a full-range product matrix compliant with global mainstream voltage standards, WG Energy showcased its delivery capacity for hundred-megawatt-scale projects, total production capacity of over 40GW across dual manufacturing bases in Kunshan and Changzhou, and a clear timeline to complete full IEC certification by Q4 2026.

 

Spanning AIDC, photovoltaic power plants, C&I energy storage, utility energy storage, MCS charging and DC microgrid, WG Energy’s Helios Series SST is advancing into European and global markets with comprehensive cross-scenario capabilities.
